Eileen decides to join the Spring Gala committee at the church and is thrilled to be planning the biggest event of the year. However, her excitement is short-lived when she discovers that the committee chairman, Mrs. Shapiro, is extremely demanding and controlling. Eileen is forced to put up with Mrs. Shapiro's constant criticisms and demands while trying to make the gala a success.

Meanwhile, Kenny is trying to work up the courage to ask his crush, Mimi, to the Spring Gala. With help from Jimmy and Shannon, Kenny begins to make progress, but things get complicated when he realizes Mimi may have feelings for another guy.

Pat and Jimmy decide to use the gala as an opportunity to make some extra cash by selling Pat's homemade beef jerky. However, their plan hits a snag when they discover that the church has a no-food policy.

As the day of the gala approaches, tensions are high among the O'Neals and their friends. Will Eileen be able to please Mrs. Shapiro and make the gala a success? Will Kenny finally ask Mimi to the dance? Will Pat and Jimmy's beef jerky business take off?
