Ep 1. L'enfant

The Returned is a French supernatural drama that revolves around a small town called Arcadia, where several residents who were once dead mysteriously return to life. Season 2 picks up six months after the events of the first season, where the town is still struggling to deal with the aftermath of the Returned's reappearance.

In the first episode of season 2 entitled L'enfant, the focus is on a couple named Adele and Simon, who are reeling from the revelation that Simon is not dead. Lena, a teenage girl, is struggling with the fact that her boyfriend, Camille, is no longer the same person he was before he died, and she is haunted by the memories of their past relationship. Julie is still trying to figure out the mystery behind the Returned and their true purpose, while Serge, a town resident, is dealing with the fallout from his brother's return.

The episode ends with a shocking twist that leaves the characters and the viewers reeling. It sets up a compelling storyline for the rest of the season and introduces exciting new characters and plotlines. L'enfant is a fantastic season opener that sets the tone for what promises to be an intense and emotionally charged second season of The Returned.
