In The Venture Bros. season 5 episode 7 "Bot Seeks Bot," Dr. Venture is in need of a new bodyguard, so he hires an old acquaintance, a cyborg named Swifty. Meanwhile, Hank and Dean are trying to prove they're not just a couple of idiots and decide to start their own detective agency. Their first case? To find out who's trying to kill Swifty.
As the episode progresses, we see a number of characters getting involved in the search for Swifty's would-be assassin. Brock, the Ventures' former bodyguard, is hot on the trail, as is the mysterious villain Monstroso. When Swifty is kidnapped, Hank and Dean take it upon themselves to rescue him, by any means necessary.
Throughout the episode, we're treated to plenty of humor, action, and intrigue. The writing is sharp and witty, with plenty of references to pop culture and previous episodes. The animation is top-notch as well, with some impressive fight scenes and creative visuals.
One of the standout moments of the episode comes when Hank and Dean decide to disguise themselves as women in order to infiltrate a strip club where they suspect Swifty's attacker might be hiding. The ensuing hijinks are both hilarious and cringe-worthy, but it's all in good fun.
As the episode reaches its climax, all the pieces finally come together, and we discover the identity of the villain behind Swifty's troubles. It's an unexpected twist that will likely leave viewers satisfied and intrigued for what's to come.
