The show is a perfect blend of entertainment and education, with fascinating facts about wine production and trade sprinkled throughout each episode.

Episode 6 of season 2 is set in North Canterbury, New Zealand, one of the world's leading wine regions known for its unique and exceptional wines. The episode begins with James and Matthew arriving at the Pegasus Bay Winery, where they meet with the owners, the Donaldson family. They are eager to learn about the winery's history and winemaking practices.

At Pegasus Bay, James and Matthew discover the vineyards have been in the Donaldson family for over 45 years, spanning three generations. They learn that the family's passion for winemaking is rooted in their love of the land and their deep respect for nature. The Donaldsons use sustainable and organic farming methods to produce the highest quality grapes and create some of New Zealand's best wines.

After their tour, James and Matthew sit down with the Donaldson family to taste some of their signature wines. They sip on a range of wines, including Pegasus Bay's award-winning Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. James and Matthew are impressed with the complexity and balance of the wines and marvel at the diversity of flavors that come from just one vineyard.

Next, James and Matthew head to Greystone Winery, another renowned winery in North Canterbury. Here, they meet with the winemaker, Dom Maxwell, who shows them around the facility and explains his winemaking philosophy. Dom is passionate about producing unique and expressive wines that reflect the vineyard's terroir.

James and Matthew try some of Greystone's exceptional wines, including their Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, which leave them in awe of the winery's attention to detail and precision in winemaking. They also take part in a grape-stomping competition, where they compete against each other and some of the locals to see who can crush the most grapes in a given time.

The episode wraps up with James and Matthew enjoying a meal at the White Swan Country Hotel, where they pair some of the wine they've tasted with Chef Jimmy McIntyre's delicious creations. They are enchanted by the beautiful surroundings, mouth-watering dishes, and fantastic wines, which make for a perfect end to their journey through North Canterbury.
