Ep 15. Lazarus

Mulder and Scully investigate a bank robbery in which one of the robbers, Warren James Dupre, was shot and killed by Crowley, the other robber. After Dupre's body is taken to the morgue, he comes back to life and somehow takes over the body of a hospital worker, Jeff Smood. Mulder and Scully soon learn that Dupre believes that Crowley is responsible for his death and will stop at nothing to get revenge. Meanwhile, Scully's father is in the hospital and she is struggling with being away from him during his illness.

As Mulder and Scully investigate the case, they discover that Dupre's body was exposed to a rare type of energy that caused him to regenerate on a cellular level. This same energy is what allowed Dupre to take over Smood's body. The agents must race against time to find Dupre/Smood and stop him before he carries out his plan to kill Crowley.
