In the second episode of the first season of "Til Death," titled "Sex for Furniture," Eddie and Joy Stark continue to navigate the ups and downs of their long-term marriage. This hilarious sitcom follows the rollercoaster ride of their relationship as they navigate the challenges of married life and learn to embrace their differences.

As the episode begins, Eddie, portrayed by Brad Garrett, an easygoing and sometimes outspoken high school history teacher, finds himself in quite the predicament. His beloved couch, which has been with him for years, is starting to show its age and desperately needs to be replaced. Eddie has become attached to the old couch, as it holds many memories and provides him comfort. However, Joy, portrayed by Joely Fisher, an attractive and assertive woman who works as a travel agent, strongly believes that it's time for a new couch that matches their updated living room decor.

Eddie and Joy quickly find themselves at odds over the couch situation, which escalates into a major conflict. Joy insists on finding a new, modern couch that fits their new style, while Eddie resists any change and clings to sentimentality. Their disagreement unleashes a battle of wills, leading both of them to assert their dominance and make the situation much more complicated than it needs to be.

Meanwhile, Eddie's equally spirited best friend, Jeff Woodcock (played by Eddie Kaye Thomas), offers him an alternative solution that adds more complications to their debacle. Jeff reminds Eddie of an unconventional arrangement they struck up in their younger years. During difficult times in their relationships, Jeff and Eddie used to trade various household chores for intimate favors from the other's partner. Jeff believes that bartering for pleasure could help Eddie tip the scales in his favor regarding the couch decision.

With Jeff's outlandish idea planted in Eddie's mind, he starts contemplating how he can manipulate the situation to his advantage. Eddie tries to convince Joy that fulfilling his desires in the bedroom would be a fair trade for him getting to keep their old couch. But Joy, being her own person with a strong will, is not easily convinced by Eddie's proposition.

Unbeknownst to Eddie, this ill-conceived plan sets off a chain reaction of comedic events that affect their entire social circle. Eddie develops a misguided plan to manipulate Joy into agreeing to his terms, but every attempt backfires hilariously. From desperate attempts to woo Joy with romantic gestures to seeking advice from their quirky neighbors, they find themselves in a string of comedic misadventures that only exacerbate their original disagreement.

As the episode progresses, the couple's polar opposite personalities clash even further, driving them deeper into their absurd feud. They draw their friends and neighbors into the chaos, unintentionally disrupting what was supposed to be a relaxing neighborhood poker party. Throughout all the hilarious shenanigans, the central question remains: will Eddie and Joy be able to reconcile their differences and find a solution that makes them both happy?

"Sex for Furniture" is a lighthearted episode that combines sharp dialogue, physical comedy, and relatable relationship struggles to create an entertaining and enjoyable viewing experience. With its clever writing and talented ensemble cast, this installment of "Til Death" explores the challenges that arise in long-term relationships while keeping viewers laughing throughout. Be prepared for a wild ride as Eddie and Joy continue to navigate their way through the complexities of married life, armed with love, humor, and perhaps a few unconventional solutions.
