In "Religion", Tracey Ullman opens the show by saying how she loves religious television. Hope gets deep, thinking about "A" God. Ruby relates a religious experience. Sydney talks about her biblical role model. Birdie organizes the kidnapping of niece Chris, so she can sexually de-contaminate her. Midge, however, has other plans. Linda gets passed over again, but finds an appreciative audience in the priests. Fern welcomes Madeleine Albright into Judaism. Kay recounts a miracle she saw at a Benny Hinn rally. Her Royal Highness meets the Pope. In "Man's Best Friend", Tracey Ullman opens the show by talking about her adopted dog "Heidi". Birdie "loses" the family dog for letting loose a stream of "Satan's lemonade" one too many times. Linda, asked to sing in England, convinces Trevor to let her smuggle her dog through customs. They end up stuck in Canada but Linda still finds a "captive" audience. Fern tells us that Jews and pets don't mix. Ruby gets into a compromising position with a "Raging Bull", but Dean helps her kill two balls with one stone. Kay would like to adopt the lost dog but Mother's allergic. Erin serenades the "Big Yellow Dog". Mrs. Noh Nang Ning wants to cook the wandering dog. Tracey, Mabel and Johnny take the stray dog home.
