Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, voiced by comedian Robert Smigel, is back for a new comedy special leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Known for his crass and irreverent humor, Triumph takes on the political establishment and candidates, joining them on the campaign trail to poke fun at their missteps and gaffes.

The first episode of Triumph's Election Special 2016 takes viewers to the Iowa State Fair, where many of the Republican candidates are making appearances. Triumph is on the scene, wearing his signature cigar and furry puppet body, ready to unleash his biting barbs on unsuspecting politicians.

In classic Triumph fashion, he begins by insulting the candidates' physical appearances, mocking their hair and clothes. He then moves on to their policies, taking on hot-button issues like immigration, the economy, and foreign policy.

One of Triumph's main targets in this episode is Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who he calls "a human-shaped jar of mayonnaise." He follows Cruz to a rally, calling out his inconsistencies and contradictions. But the senator, ever the politician, manages to dodge Triumph's attacks and focus on his message.

Triumph also takes aim at businessman Donald Trump, who was the frontrunner at the time of filming. Triumph follows Trump to the fair, where he tries his hand at some games and takes selfies with fans. But Triumph is not fooled by Trump's showmanship, and he lets loose with a barrage of insults, calling him a "Cheeto-dusted power bottom" and mocking his hair and ego.

Throughout the episode, Triumph also takes jabs at other candidates like Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie, as well as the voters themselves. He notes the oddities and quirks of the fair, including a butter cow and fried food on a stick.

While Triumph's Election Special 2016 may not be for everyone - his humor can be crude and offensive - it is a bold and refreshing take on the political landscape leading up to the election. Triumph is unapologetic in his attacks on politicians and voters alike, but he also has a keen eye for satire and wit. Fans of his previous work, as well as those who are disenchanted with politics as usual, will find much to enjoy in this series.
