Ep 4. Trials of the Local God

Kazuya Kagami's life is turned upside down when a precious memento from his mother, a hair ribbon, transforms into a beautiful girl named Kiriha. Kiriha is a Tsukumogami, a spirit that manifests from old and forgotten objects. As Kazuya struggles to come to terms with this strange occurrence, his hometown is plagued with supernatural disturbances.

In episode 4, titled "Trials of the Local God," Kazuya and Kiriha are enlisted by the local god of a neighboring town to help rid the area of a dangerous Tsukumogami. The god, named Kanaka, is a small, cute creature that has taken the form of a statue. She is beloved by the townspeople, who often leave offerings at her shrine.

Kanaka reveals that the shrine is actually a relic left behind by a powerful Tsukumogami from ancient times. The spirit, known as the God of Earth, was revered by the people of the area until it disappeared. Since then, the shrine has been a magnet for supernatural activity.

Kazuya and Kiriha decide to investigate the shrine, hoping to find the source of the energy that caused the Tsukumogami to merge. They soon discover that the shrine is being used as a hideout by some suspicious characters, who appear to be up to no good.

In a tense showdown, Kazuya and Kiriha confront the villains and discover that they are actually rogue Tsukumogami who have banded together to cause chaos across the land. The group is led by a powerful figure known only as the "Boss."

Kazuya and Kiriha are no match for the powerful Boss, but they are eventually able to defeat him through teamwork and strategy. The rogue Tsukumogami are forced to flee, and the energy from the area returns to normal.

As Kazuya and Kiriha make their way back home, they reflect on the events of the day and contemplate the implications of the rogue Tsukumogami's actions. They also wonder what other dangers lie in wait for them on their journey.
