Ep 21. No Sniffing, No Wowing

Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) is an advertising executive who seems to have it all. He has a beautiful home in Malibu, a lot of money, and plenty of women. However, his life is turned upside down when his brother, Alan (Jon Cryer), and nephew, Jake (Angus T. Jones), move in with him after Alan's divorce.

In season 1 episode 21, No Sniffing, No Wowing, Alan is excited about his date with a woman named Joanna (Missi Pyle), who he met online. He tells Charlie and Jake about her and asks Charlie for some advice. Charlie tells him to be himself, but Alan is convinced that he needs to put on a show for her and impress her.

Meanwhile, Charlie is dealing with a problem of his own. His ex-girlfriend, Lisa (Denise Richards), is coming over to collect some of her things, and he wants to make sure that she doesn't think he's still interested in her. He asks Jake to keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't come on to him.

Back at Alan's date, things aren't going as planned. Alan is trying too hard to impress Joanna, and she isn't responding well to it. She tells him that she doesn't like guys who try to be something they're not and leaves.

Charlie, on the other hand, is having a different kind of problem. Lisa is acting weird, and Jake thinks that she's trying to seduce him. He tells Charlie about it, and Charlie confronts Lisa. She tells him that she wants to get back together with him, but he tells her that he's not interested.

The episode ends with Alan coming back to the house, disappointed with how his date went. Charlie tells him that he should just be himself and that the right woman will respond to that. Alan agrees and they share a brotherly moment.

Overall, No Sniffing, No Wowing is an episode about being true to yourself and not trying to impress people by being something you're not. It's also a reminder that sometimes, the right person will like you for who you are, flaws and all.
