Jake is going on a weekend getaway with his friend, leaving Charlie and Alan home alone for the first time since Charlie’s house was put on the market. Alan is excited to take advantage of the opportunity away from Jake to skip parenting duties and relax at the house. Meanwhile, Charlie is suffering from extreme hay fever and can’t leave the house. After trying and failing to get ahold of their housekeeper Berta, the boys learn she’s on vacation. They decide to hire a replacement for the weekend, in the form of a young, attractive woman named Kristin.

At first, Kristin seems like a dream come true for the boys. She’s beautiful, attentive, and doesn’t mind doing the housework in her underwear. However, things take a turn when Kristin reveals her true intentions to Charlie. She’s been hired by Charlie’s real estate agent to spy on him and make sure he’s not sabotaging potential buyers. Charlie is outraged and tells Alan, who is equally disturbed by Kristin’s shady behavior. Just then, Kristin’s boyfriend shows up at the house, explaining that he’s a private investigator hired by the same real estate agent to keep tabs on Kristin. It turns out that the agent doesn’t trust Kristin either, and is using her and her boyfriend to monitor Charlie.

While all this is going on, Alan has his own problems to deal with. He’s supposed to be relaxing, but finds himself unable to unwind. He becomes increasingly anxious about the house being sold, and starts obsessively cleaning and organizing to calm his nerves. When Kristin’s boyfriend shows up, Alan mistakes him for a potential buyer, and goes into full salesman mode. He tells the man all about the house’s best features, and even offers to throw in one of Charlie’s guitars as a bonus. The man is confused but amused, and eventually explains his true purpose for being there.

Despite the chaos, the boys manage to have a good time with Kristin and her boyfriend. They all get drunk and play poker, and Charlie even manages to overcome his hay fever for a little while. In the end, Kristin and her boyfriend leave, and the boys are left alone once again. They agree that it was nice to have some company for a change, but that they’re better off without the drama.

Overall, the episode is a lighthearted and enjoyable look at the boys’ relationship with each other and with their house. It explores themes of trust, friendship, and the importance of having a clean house. Fans of the show will appreciate the witty banter between Charlie and Alan, as well as the absurdity of the situation with Kristin and her boyfriend. It’s a fun episode that captures the spirit of the series as a whole.
