The Price of Healthy Gums is Eternal Vigilance is the sixth episode of the second season of Two and a Half Men. It was aired on November 1, 2004, on CBS. The episode was directed by Gary Halvorson and written by Lee Aronsohn and Chuck Lorre.

The episode starts with Charlie and Alan getting into a petty argument over who should clean the bathroom. While they argue, their mother, Evelyn, comes over and invites Alan to join her for dinner. Alan is hesitant at first, but Charlie coaxes him into going, hoping to score some of his mother's money.

At dinner, Alan finds out that Evelyn has a new boyfriend, Teddy, who is a wealthy businessman. Teddy is very charming and suave, and Alan quickly starts to like him. However, Charlie is instantly suspicious of Teddy and his motives, thinking he is after Evelyn's money. He tries to convince Alan to look out for his mother's interests and not let Teddy take advantage of her.

Meanwhile, Jake gets braces and is now obsessed with dental hygiene, much to the annoyance of his father and uncle. They can't stand his constant brushing and flossing, and he even goes as far as to wear a headgear to bed. Frustrated, Charlie and Alan hatch a plan to scare Jake into relaxing his hygiene regimen.

Back at Evelyn's house, Alan starts to worry that Teddy is indeed after his mother's money when he sees him giving Evelyn a bracelet. He confides in Charlie, who comes up with a plan to catch Teddy in the act of trying to swindle their mother. They invite Teddy over to Charlie's house to have a few drinks and play poker, and Charlie tries to lure him into confessing his intentions.

Things take a turn, however, when Teddy reveals that he is actually broke and was trying to impress Evelyn with the bracelet he borrowed from a friend. Feeling guilty for suspecting him, Alan and Charlie apologize to Teddy and invite him to join their poker game.

Meanwhile, their plan to scare Jake backfires when he ends up getting injured, and they have to take him to the hospital. Feeling guilty, Charlie and Alan apologize to him and promise not to interfere with his dental routine anymore.

The episode ends with Alan and Charlie back at their house, cleaning the bathroom together and reflecting on the lessons they learned about family and trust.

Overall, The Price of Healthy Gums is Eternal Vigilance is a classic episode of Two and a Half Men that features the show's trademark humor and heartwarming moments. It explores themes of family, trust, and the importance of communication in relationships. The episode is a must-watch for fans of the show.
