Alan starts to date a young girl who is a lot younger than him. Charlie tries to discourage Alan from seeing her, but Alan does not listen and keeps on seeing her. Eventually, Alan's young girlfriend starts to become too much for him, and he realizes that he cannot keep up with her anymore. Meanwhile, Charlie is having problems of his own when he starts to get scared of driving on the highway. He decides to take some driving lessons from Alan's young girlfriend, but quickly realizes that it is a mistake. The driving lesson turns into a disaster, and Charlie realizes that he is not cut out for driving on the highway. With all of these problems going on, Jake is left to deal with his own issues as he tries to navigate the difficulties of teenage life.

The episode opens with Alan introducing his girlfriend Melissa to Charlie. Charlie is immediately taken aback by her youth and starts to make fun of her for being so young. He tells Alan that he is going to have a hard time keeping up with her, but Alan does not listen and continues to date her anyway.

As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that Charlie has his own issues that he needs to deal with. He starts to become afraid of driving on the highway, and even has panic attacks when he thinks about it. He goes to see a doctor to try and get some help, but the doctor tells him that the only way to overcome his fear is to face it head-on.

Meanwhile, Alan's relationship with Melissa starts to become strained. He realizes that he is not as young as he used to be, and that he cannot keep up with her wild lifestyle. He tries to break things off with her, but she refuses to let him go. She tells him that she loves him and that she will do anything to make him happy.

Desperate for help, Charlie turns to Alan's young girlfriend for driving lessons. Melissa agrees to teach him how to drive on the highway, but quickly realizes that Charlie is not cut out for it. The lesson turns into a disaster when Charlie crashes the car, and Melissa decides that it would be best if he never drove again.

Throughout the episode, Jake is dealing with his own issues as a teenager. He is struggling to fit in at school and is having trouble with his grades. He turns to Alan for help, but Alan is too preoccupied with his own problems to give Jake the attention he needs.

In the end, all of the characters come to realize that they need to face their fears and embrace the changes that come with growing older. Alan decides to end his relationship with Melissa, and Charlie starts to slowly work on overcoming his fear of driving on the highway. Jake also starts to work on his issues at school, and begins to make progress with his grades.

Overall, "Don't Worry, Speed Racer" is an episode that explores the idea of growing older and facing the challenges that come with it. It shows how even the most confident and successful people can have fears and insecurities that they need to work through.
