Ep 2. Media Room Slash Dungeon

Alan Harper, portrayed by Jon Cryer, appears to have found an interesting pastime− building his dark and twisted "dungeon" out of Mediaset boxes. He has finally gotten over Kandi, his ex-girlfriend, and has decided to move on. Meanwhile, Charlie Harper, his brother, played by Charlie Sheen, is far more concerned about a plumber who has been fixing the very obscure toilet in the beach house’s downstairs bathroom.

As the show progresses, we see Alan being the new king of his own twisted world, created out of Mediaset boxes stacked one on top of the other. Charlie dismisses this new hobby, as it seems just as bizarre as some of Alan’s past experiences, and focuses mainly on the plumber, Raul, who keeps coming in and out of the house. However, it turns out that the plumber is actually there for Rose, played by Melanie Lynskey. When Charlie realizes this, he cannot help but make fun of her for it, something which backfires tremendously.

Meanwhile, Charlie finds himself having to make some difficult decisions as he tries to protect his assets from his ex-girlfriend’s lawyer, Gloria, played by Christine Baranski. She is a formidable opponent and looks set on taking as much as she can from him, something that he is not willing to tolerate. As he meets Gloria in his lawyer’s office, he tries desperately to find a way out of the situation, also taking time to be annoyed by his own lawyer, Harvey, played by Emilio Estevez.

After realizing that his lawyer is doing next to nothing to help him, Charlie decides to take on some of the work himself, leading him to the library, where he picks up a book on law. The book proves to be of little help, however, as it quickly becomes clear that Charlie is unable to understand the complex legal language it uses. In the end, his lawyer comes through when he needs him most, and Charlie is able to weather the storm.

Overall, this episode of Two and a Half Men is one that is sure to please fans of the show, as it includes all of the elements that have made it so popular over the years. With Charlie Sheen’s undeniable charm, Jon Cryer’s quirky humor, and some great comedic timing and clever jokes to boot, this episode is sure to have viewers laughing from start to finish.
