UFC on FX is a televised mixed martial arts (MMA) competition that airs on the FX network. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is the largest MMA organization in the world and has become incredibly popular in recent years for its brutal, intense fights featuring some of the best fighters in the sport.

Each episode of UFC on FX features several fights between some of the top fighters in the UFC. The fighters come from all over the world and represent a range of weight classes, from the smaller weight classes like flyweight and bantamweight all the way up to the larger weight classes like light heavyweight and heavyweight.

The show is hosted by a team of experts who provide commentary and analysis of the fights. This includes former fighters, trainers, and other MMA experts who can offer insight into the fighters' styles and strategies.

One of the highlights of UFC on FX is the diversity of the fighters who compete. While the UFC has always had a strong American presence, in recent years fighters from other countries have become just as dominant. This has led to a huge increase in popularity in parts of the world like Brazil, Japan, and Australia where MMA has become a major sport.

Another draw of UFC on FX is the production values of the show. The fights are shot in high-definition and the cameras capture every punch, kick, and grappling move with clarity. The show also uses a range of camera angles to give viewers a sense of the action from every possible angle.

Most episodes of UFC on FX feature several fights, each with its own backstory and drama. These fights are often set up based on rankings, with the top fighters in each weight class competing against each other to climb the ladder and earn a shot at the championship.

One aspect of UFC on FX that sets it apart from other MMA shows is the training segments that are included. These segments give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the fighters as they prepare for their fights. This includes footage of their training routines, interviews with their coaches and training partners, and a glimpse into their mental and physical preparation for the fight.

While the fights themselves are often the main attraction, the training segments are a great way to get to know the fighters on a more personal level. UFC on FX often features interviews with the fighters where they talk about their backgrounds, motivations, and what drew them to MMA in the first place.

Overall, UFC on FX is a must-watch show for any MMA fan. The combination of intense fights, expert analysis, and behind-the-scenes access make it an exciting and immersive viewing experience. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the sport or just starting to get into MMA, UFC on FX is a great way to get your fix.

3. Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves (Brazil) vs Martin Kampmann (Denmark)
March 3, 2012
With relatively equal experience, Martin Kampmann and Thiago Alves are set to duke it out on March 2 at UFC on FX 2. Both fighters have become contending staples within the welterweight division, with the winner of this fight presumably acquiring the rights to participate in a No. 1 contender bout later in the year. With title implications on the line, Kampmann and Alves should provide some of the best action we've seen from them, ever. Kampmann has become one of the most well-rounded strikers in the division and Alves has always been renowned as one of the most talented fighters in the UFC, despite his sometimes questionable cardio problems.
Lightweight bout: Melvin Guillard vs Jim Miller
1. Lightweight bout: Melvin Guillard vs Jim Miller
January 20, 2012
Two top lightweights clash this Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee, as Melvin Guillard takes on Jim Miller in the main event of UFC on FX. Both Miller and Guillard are coming off losses and looking to get their UFC careers back on track. Jim Miller spent all of 2010 and most of 2011 going right through the stacked UFC lightweight division. Miller went 4-0 in 2010 with wins over: Duane Ludwig, Mark Bocek, Gleison Tibau and Charles Oliveira. Miller opened up 2011 with a victory over Kamal Shalorus at UFC 128. Then in August of 2011, Miller was fought Ben Henderson with the winner getting a shot at the UFC lightweight title. Henderson dominated Miller over three rounds to earn the unanimous decision victory and a shot at UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar. Melvin Guillard was one of the hottest fighters in the sport in 2011. Guillard defeated Evan Dunham at UFC Fight for the Troops 2 and Shane Roller at UFC 132, both by first round knockout. At UFC 136 in October 2011 Guillard faced Joe Lauzon, with a victory, Guillard would have became the number one contender in the lightweight division. Guillard was submitted by Lauzon in the first round, putting his title chances on hold for the moment. Guillard versus Miller is a typical clash of styles. Miler has 11 career victories by submission and all of Guillard's losses in the UFC have came via submission. Guillar has knockout power in both hands and is dangerous at all times while the fight is standing. Both Guillard and Miller are among the best lightweights on the planet. A win for either fighter means they are back in title contention.
