David Clarke, CEO of a Western hotel chain, goes undercover to see how his employees deal with the day-to-day operations of their business. The first employee he meets is Taylor, a newly-promoted receptionist. David is impressed by the young worker's level of enthusiasm and dedication to her job, but he also recognizes that she is struggling to make ends meet on her entry-level salary.
Next, David meets with Max, a doorman who is also a talented musician. Max shares his passion for music with David and invites him to a gig that he is performing at later that evening. David is touched by Max's dedication to both his job and his artistic pursuits, and he realizes that he needs to find a way to support employees like Max in their creative endeavors.
David's next stop is in the housekeeping department, where he meets a hard-working team who are struggling to keep up with the high standards of the hotel. David is shocked to discover that some of the housekeeping staff are expected to clean up to 23 rooms each day, and he realizes that the workload is unsustainable. He also discovers that some of the staff have health issues related to their work, and he makes a promise to improve working conditions and safety standards.
David's final stop is in the kitchen, where he meets Head Chef Raj who oversees the preparation of over 500 meals per day. David is impressed by Raj's dedication and expertise, but he also witnesses firsthand the challenges of working in a high-pressure kitchen environment. He realizes that he needs to invest more in training and support for his kitchen staff to help them manage the demands of their job.
