Unspouse My House is a reality show on HGTV that features an interior designer, Orlando Soria, who helps people who have recently gone through a divorce or breakup to transform their homes into spaces that better reflect their new lives. In season 1 episode 5, entitled Despair to Repair, Orlando meets with a woman named Tricia, who has recently gone through a divorce and is struggling to feel at home in her house.

As Orlando arrives at Tricia's house, he notices that the front yard is overgrown and the exterior of the house is in need of some TLC. Inside, the house is cluttered and outdated, with mismatched furniture and decor that Tricia inherited from her ex-husband. Orlando sits down with Tricia to talk about her vision for the space, and she tells him that she wants a home that feels peaceful and calming.

To start the transformation, Orlando decides to tackle the front yard and give the house some much-needed curb appeal. He brings in a landscaping team to clear out the overgrown shrubs and trees, and then plants a row of flowering shrubs along the front of the house. He also gives the exterior of the house a fresh coat of paint in a soft blue-gray color, which immediately brightens up the space.

Next, Orlando turns his attention to the living room, which is currently filled with oversized furniture and heavy drapes. He decides to remove the drapes and replace them with sheer curtains, which allow more light into the space. He also brings in a new sofa, a pair of armchairs, and a coffee table, all in a neutral color palette that complements the new blue-gray paint on the walls.

To add some personality to the space, Orlando suggests that Tricia display some of her favorite pieces of art on the walls. Tricia has always loved photography, but her ex-husband didn't share her passion, so she never felt comfortable displaying her photos in their home. Orlando helps her to choose a few of her favorite pieces and creates a gallery wall in the living room.

In the dining room, Orlando decides to remove the heavy curtains and replace them with a simple, modern light fixture. He also replaces the old dining table with a new one that is better suited to the space. To add some color and texture to the room, he brings in a patterned rug and some colorful artwork.

In the master bedroom, Orlando wants to create a space that feels calming and serene. He removes the heavy bed frame and replaces it with a simple, upholstered headboard. He also brings in new bedding in a soft, neutral color palette. To add some texture to the room, he hangs a woven tapestry on the wall, and he brings in a pair of oversized armchairs to create a cozy reading nook in the corner of the room.

Finally, in the backyard, Orlando creates a new seating area by installing a built-in bench around the base of a tree. He then adds some colorful cushions and a few potted plants to create a peaceful outdoor retreat.

At the end of the episode, Tricia is thrilled with the transformation of her home. She says that the space finally feels like her own, and that she can't wait to spend time there with her friends and family. Orlando is also pleased with the outcome, and says that he hopes the new design will help Tricia to move forward and find happiness in her new life.
