Devoted homeowners who've recently gone through a divorce definitely have a thought-provoking set of challenges; from retaining painful memories to split household items and adjusting to a new life, they may discover it hard to deal with it all. That's where designer Orlando Soria comes in, who, in the second season of Unspouse My House, provides their houses with much-needed makeovers and a refreshing take on life that'll offer them the boost they require.

In the third episode of season 2, titled "Crater Needs a Curator," we meet Chaz and his adorable pup Crater. Chaz has recently gone through a painful divorce and has been struggling to make his house feel like a home. The house he owns is undoubtedly warm and inviting, but it lacks basic functionality and identity, which leads Chaz's mind to stray back to his past life and partner, giving him an uneasy feeling. The monotony has been compounded by the fact that he hasn't done much to update the space since he and his ex-wife had it.

That's where our hero, Orlando Soria, comes in. Orlando dives right in and begins making over the living room first, as it's the space that needs the most attention. In just a matter of hours, Orlando turns the once-bland and disorganized living room into a bright, colorful, and modern space, complete with a vibrant new couch and art pieces that add personality to the room while giving Chaz visual interest. Orlando adds texture to the walls and draws attention to Chaz's fireplace by building a custom shelf to house his TV, bringing the otherwise classic space into the twenty-first century.

Orlando's next mission concerns Chaz's entirely empty backyard that overlooks beautiful mountainous scenery. Disguising the unsightly fence was a top priority, so he had a new fence erected and installed attractive and functional garage-style doors that open to the mountains & let in ample sunlight. In addition, Chaz is in need of a comfortable seating area to enjoy his small patio. Orlando brings in a fireplace to create a cozy ambiance and colorful furniture that adds more personality to the room and district while sitting below the mountainous view.

The final verdict is genuinely awesome, with Chaz marveling at his bright and modern renovated living room for the first time; he's thrilled with Orlando's work and ecstatic about how the newly functional space meets his everyday needs. The outdoor fire pit, sofa, and colorful cushions make his backyard a perfect retreat for him, his pup, and his visitors or family members. The end result is a tranquil, unique, and personalized living area that will aid Chaz in moving forward from his past and into a happy future.

After watching the show's Crater Needs a Curator episode, one can't help but be impressed by Orlando's skill, warmth, and the way he connects people to their spaces. It's a testament to how their personal touch and devotion to the show can make a profound impact on people's lives and homes. And as long as Orlando is around to improve the lives and spaces of those who require a pick-me-up, we'll be here to keep watching.
