Urusei Yatsura Season 1 Episode 23 The Spring Blossom Picnic

Lum and Ataru are enjoying a beautiful spring day and decide to have a picnic in the park. They invite their friends to join them, but things quickly become chaotic. As they set up their picnic spot, Ataru accidentally steps on Lum's flowerbed, causing her to become enraged and summon a rainstorm. The rain ruins the food and the picnic is cancelled. However, they are able to salvage the day by participating in the park's spring festival.

Meanwhile, Mendou and his servant, Sasuga, are also at the park. They have brought their own elaborate picnic set up and are looking down on Ataru and his group. Mendou even challenges Ataru to a game of tug-of-war, which results in both sides using their special abilities to try to win. Lum becomes determined to win the game and uses her electric powers to shock Mendou's team, but this only leads to more chaos.

As the day goes on, Lum and Ataru are able to make amends and enjoy the festival together. They take part in various activities, including a flower arrangement contest and a dancing competition. Lum's alien abilities impress everyone and Ataru finally admits his feelings for her. However, their moment is interrupted by Mendou, who challenges Ataru to another competition.

The two groups face off in a relay race, which involves multiple obstacles and challenges. Despite the odds being stacked against them, Ataru's team manages to win thanks to Lum's quick thinking and use of her powers.

The episode ends with the two groups parting ways, each having enjoyed their day at the park. Ataru and Lum have grown closer, but their relationship remains complicated by Ataru's past behavior and the fact that Lum is an alien.
