Watch Macross Zero

Its 2008, one year prior to the start of "Macross." U.N. Spacy and Anti-U.N. forces clash left and right, including near the South Pacific. It just so happens that that particular region was the crash site for a massive alien ship in 1999. During the kerfuffle of war, pilot Shin Kudo is struck by a strange craft that can morph into a robot and crashes into a native culture that is linked to the crashed ship that will serve as the focal point of the conflict. Shin makes his way back to Skull Squadron, piloting the top-of-the-line VF-0 Phoenix craft.
