Valkyria Chronicles Season 1 Episode 1 Encounter and Battle

It's the year 1935 in the fictional continent of Europa. The two superpowers, the Empire and the Federation, have been at war for years. In the first episode of Valkyria Chronicles, titled "Encounter and Battle," we meet the sweet but determined girl, Alicia Melchiott.

Alicia lives in the small town of Bruhl and works as a baker. One day, while delivering bread to the town's watchtower, she discovers that Imperial forces have invaded her hometown. As she tries to warn her fellow townspeople, Alicia makes a tragic discovery: her brother is among the Imperial troops.

Meanwhile, at the Gallian Militia headquarters, Commander Welkin Gunther, a university student with a passion for biology, receives an order to lead a squad against the Imperial troops attacking Bruhl. Along with him is his childhood friend and fellow squad member, Faldio Landzaat.

As Welkin and Faldio lead their squad to Bruhl, a fierce battle ensues. The Federation soldiers are outmatched by the advanced weaponry of the Empire, and one by one, they fall. It seems as if all is lost for the Gallian Militia until Alicia shows up on the battlefield, wielding a rifle and ready to fight.

Together, Welkin, Faldio, and Alicia devise a plan to take out the Imperial tank blocking their advance. Welkin uses his knowledge of biology to create a makeshift roadblock using local flora, and Alicia uses her marksmanship to take down the tank's commander.

As the battle turns in favor of the Gallian Militia, Welkin discovers a secret weapon: a young girl with supernatural powers known as a Valkyria. Though mysterious and misunderstood, the Valkyria may hold the key to turning the tide of the war.

The first episode of Valkyria Chronicles sets the stage for an epic war drama with a diverse cast of characters and the introduction of supernatural elements. The battle scenes are intense and exciting, and the bond between the main characters is palpable.
