Ep 1. Where Paradise Is Home

Ethan Burke, a Secret Service agent from Seattle, awakens in a hospital after a car accident outside of the idyllic town of Wayward Pines, Idaho. Disoriented and confused, Ethan is desperate to return home to his family. He struggles to make sense of his surroundings and the strange behavior of the town’s residents, who seem to be hiding a dark secret.

Ethan soon meets the town’s sheriff, Arnold Pope, who warns him not to leave Wayward Pines. Despite Pope’s ominous warning, Ethan attempts to leave town and is met with a shocking and deadly consequence. He discovers that the town is surrounded by a high, electrified fence that is patrolled by armed guards, preventing anyone from leaving.

The more Ethan learns about Wayward Pines, the more disturbing the town becomes. He meets an old friend, Kate Hewson, who has been living in the town for over a year and seems to have given up hope of ever leaving. She tells Ethan that she has tried to escape but has been hunted down by the town’s ruthless authorities.

As Ethan begins to investigate the town’s history and why he has been brought there, he discovers an underground surveillance system that tracks the every move of the town’s residents. He also meets Nurse Pam, a nurse at the hospital who seems to be in charge of administering the town’s dark secret.

As Ethan’s investigation deepens, he realizes that he may never be able to escape from Wayward Pines. His only hope of survival is to unravel the town’s secrets and understand why he has been brought there.

As tensions in the town escalate, Ethan’s actions could have dire consequences for himself and everyone in Wayward Pines. With his own safety and the safety of the town’s residents at stake, Ethan must decide whether to comply with the town’s rules or risk everything to uncover the truth and escape.
