Ep 6. Object Impermanence

Nancy Botwin, played by Mary-Louise Parker, is a housewife turned drug dealer who is currently on probation after serving time in jail for drug trafficking. In season 7 episode 6 of Weeds, entitled Object Impermanence, Nancy is struggling to adjust to life on probation.

She's taken on a job as a lifeguard at the local pool but is finding it difficult to make ends meet on her meager salary. Meanwhile, her son Silas (Hunter Parrish) is caught up in his own problems as he decides to expand his marijuana business beyond California.

Nancy tries to help her son with his new venture but quickly discovers that this particular branch of the drug trade is dangerous and full of shady characters. Determined to protect her son, Nancy decides to take matters into her own hands and soon finds herself in the middle of a tense and dangerous situation.

Meanwhile, Nancy's friend and fellow drug dealer Andy (Justin Kirk) is also struggling to make ends meet. He finds himself forced to live in a van after losing his apartment, and is forced to resort to desperate measures to make money.

At the same time, Nancy's sister Jill (Jennifer Jason Leigh) comes to visit her in California. Jill is going through a divorce and is looking to escape her problems by spending time with her sister. However, it soon becomes clear that Jill is bringing her own set of problems with her, including a dangerous ex-husband who is on the hunt for her.

As the episode progresses, the various plot threads begin to come together in unexpected ways. Nancy finds herself facing a difficult choice as she tries to protect her son while also keeping herself out of trouble with the law. Meanwhile, Andy finds himself in a surreal and darkly comic situation as he tries to make money.

Overall, Object Impermanence is a tense and complex episode that showcases the strengths of Weeds' writing and performances. The various characters are all dealing with their own problems and struggles, and the episode does an excellent job of pulling together the many threads of the show's ongoing storylines. Fans of Weeds will find plenty to enjoy in this episode, which is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys smart, edgy television.
