In Wheeler Dealers: Trading Up season 1 episode 3, titled "Sweden," Mike Brewer travels to Sweden to try his hand at buying and selling cars in the Scandinavian market. He starts by purchasing a rundown Saab 900 Turbo, which he hopes to restore and sell for a profit.
After inspecting the Saab, Mike quickly realizes that it has significant rust damage and electrical issues. He decides to take it to a Saab specialist in Stockholm to get it fixed up. The mechanic informs him that the car is in bad condition and that the repairs will cost more than Mike anticipated.
Undeterred, Mike decides to press on and find his next car to buy and sell. He attends a popular car auction in Gothenburg, where he hopes to find a gem. He ends up purchasing a Volvo 240 GLT, which he decides to take to a local mechanic for a full inspection before making any modifications.
Mike receives good news from the mechanic and decides to install some upgrades to make the car more appealing to buyers, including a new exhaust and suspension. He takes the Volvo to a local car show to showcase the upgrades and attract potential buyers.
At the car show, Mike meets a local car enthusiast who offers to show him some other vehicles for sale. They travel to a small town in Sweden, where Mike finds a unique car that he believes will be a hit with the international market. He ends up buying a Volvo 262C Bertone Coupe, which he plans to restore and sell for a significant profit.
Mike enlists the help of a local restorer to bring the Volvo 262C back to life. The restorer suggests some modifications, including a new paint job and modernization of the interior. Mike agrees and the restorer gets to work.
After several weeks of hard work, the Volvo 262C is finally ready for its debut. Mike takes it to a local car show to showcase the beautiful restoration and attract potential buyers. He receives several offers, but ultimately decides to sell the car to a buyer in the United States for a significant profit.
With two successful sales under his belt, Mike feels confident in his ability to buy and sell cars in the international market. He heads back to the UK with a newfound appreciation for Scandinavian automobiles and the people who restore them.
