Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry? is an Investigation Discovery channel original series. The program is approximately thirty minutes per episode and is currently in its third season. This is a documentary style series told in the first person by the spouse who was wronged. Each case tells of a husband or wife who leads a double life and commits a crime without the knowledge of their marriage partner. A group of actors performs parts of the stories as the victim tells their tale. Episode content centers around child abuse cases and adultery. In one episode a newly married woman finds out that her husband was cheating on her. Just when she thought they were going to work out their marriage, a new surprise is discovered. It seems he was also sleeping with the mentally challenged patients in the care facility where he worked. This fact was only discovered after a child birth resulted in a paternity test proving he was the father. Other similar cases revolve around a match that seems to be the perfect man only to find that after the wedding he became possessive. Things turn from constant phone calls to controlling what they wear and where they are going. After finally having enough, the women separate from their controlling spouse only to have them turn up later to make good on previous death threats. Cultural differences and a forced marriage are also topics showcased in Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry? In one such episode a forced marriage leads to an unhappy life but two wonderful children that the mother adores. After pleading with her husband, he finally grants a divorce. When its time for shared custody of the children, he picks them up and never returns. It takes over three years for the mother to finally get back her children that had been kidnapped by their father and taken to Lebanon. All the stories told in this series are true accounts of real crimes committed by an unsuspecting spouse. This program is best suited for an adult audience.
