WWE Monday Night Raw - January 28, 2013 was the fourth episode of the 2013 season. The episode took place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show opened with highlights from the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event the night before, which included John Cena winning the Royal Rumble match.
The first match of the night was a singles match between Kofi Kingston and Damien Sandow. The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both superstars getting in some offense. However, it was Kofi Kingston who picked up the victory with a Trouble in Paradise kick.
Next up was a match between The Miz and Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro was dominant throughout the match, using his strength and technical ability to ground The Miz. However, The Miz was able to hit a Skull-Crushing Finale out of nowhere and picked up the win.
After the match, Paul Heyman and his client, WWE Champion CM Punk, made their way to the ring. Heyman cut a promo on how Punk was still the best in the world, despite losing to The Rock at the Royal Rumble. Punk then took the microphone and claimed that he deserved to be in the main event of WrestleMania, regardless of who won the Royal Rumble match.
The next match was a six-man tag team match between 3MB (Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, and Drew McIntyre) and The Ryback, Sheamus, and John Cena. The match was an all-out brawl, with the six superstars taking the fight all around ringside. In the end, John Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment on Heath Slater and picked up the victory for his team.
Backstage, Paul Heyman was seen talking to Brad Maddox, who offered to help Heyman and Punk win their matches. Heyman accepted, and Maddox was seen later on in the show interfering in a match between Punk and R-Truth.
The Divas also had a match on the show, with Tamina Snuka taking on Layla. Tamina was dominant throughout the match, using her power and size advantage to control Layla. However, Layla was able to get a surprise roll-up and pick up the win.
The main event of the night was a match between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and Big Show. The match was a hard-hitting affair, with both superstars getting in some big shots. In the end, it was Del Rio who was able to lock in his cross armbreaker submission hold and force Big Show to tap out.
Overall, WWE Monday Night Raw - January 28, 2013 was a solid show with some good matches and interesting storylines. While there weren't any major surprises or developments, the show did a good job of setting up some future matches and continuing ongoing feuds.
