WWE Capitol Punishment 2011 was a live professional wrestling pay-per-view event that was produced by WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). The show took place on June 19, 2011, at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. This was the first time that Capitol Punishment has been produced as a WWE pay-per-view event. Capitol Punishment 2011 was brought to the fans by Vivendi Entertainment.

The main event of Capitol Punishment was a WWE Championship match between champion John Cena and challenger R-Truth. This match saw R-Truth take on Cena in a highly anticipated championship bout. At the time, R-Truth had been portraying a delusional character who believed that there was a conspiracy against him in the WWE. He had become a thorn in the side of John Cena and had been targeting him for weeks leading up to this match.

Another highly anticipated match at Capitol Punishment 2011 was a World Heavyweight Championship match between champion Randy Orton and challenger Christian. This match was a rematch of a previous championship bout that had taken place at the Over the Limit pay-per-view event. Christian had lost that match to Orton, but felt that he deserved another opportunity at the title.

In addition to the two championship matches, Capitol Punishment 2011 also featured a number of other exciting matches. One of these matches was a United States Championship match between champion Kofi Kingston and challenger Dolph Ziggler. This match saw Kingston defend his championship against Ziggler in what turned out to be an exciting back-and-forth battle.

Another exciting match on the card was a WWE Tag Team Championship match between champions The Corre (Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson) and Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. This match was notable for the fact that Bourne and Kingston had only been teaming together for a short time, but had quickly formed a strong bond and were looking to prove themselves as a top tag team in the WWE.

Other matches on the card included a match between big men Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler, a match between CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, and a Divas Championship match between champion Brie Bella and challenger Kelly Kelly.

Overall, WWE Capitol Punishment 2011 was an exciting and action-packed pay-per-view event. The show featured a number of matches that were highly anticipated by fans, and the performances by the wrestlers were top-notch. The main event between John Cena and R-Truth was a fitting conclusion to the show, and left fans eagerly awaiting the next WWE pay-per-view event.
