This revelation shocks the royal court and serves as a reminder of just how far King Yeongjo is willing to go to protect his own interests.

Meanwhile, Yi San continues his investigation into his father's case with the help of his friend and mentor, Park Dal-hyang. They discover a hidden diary belonging to Yi San's father that sheds new light on the circumstances surrounding his alleged treason and execution. With this new information, Yi San is more determined than ever to clear his father's name and bring the truth to light.

As the episode progresses, we see Yi San become more and more involved in the politics of the palace. He catches the eye of one of the king's advisors, who sees potential in him and offers to train him in the art of politics and statesmanship. Yi San is hesitant at first, fearing that he may be getting too involved in the power struggle for the throne. However, he eventually agrees to the man's tutelage, realizing that this may be the only way to uncover the truth behind his father's wrongful conviction.

As the episode comes to a close, we see the tension between King Yeongjo and Crown Prince Sado reach a new level. The king has decided to strip the prince of his title and disinherit him, effectively ending any hope he may have had of becoming king. The prince refuses to go down without a fight, however, and he confronts his father in the palace courtyard, demanding that he be given a fair trial and the chance to prove his sanity. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving us wondering what fate awaits the crown prince and whether Yi San will be able to uncover the truth about his father's death.

Overall, Yi San season 1 episode 4 is a gripping and intense continuation of the series.
