However, things take a turn when she is asked to accompany her boss Diana to a publishing conference in Chicago. Liza is hesitant to leave Josh behind, but decides to go for the opportunity to further her career.
At the conference, Liza is introduced to a charismatic author named Anton Bjornberg, and the two hit it off immediately. As they spend more time together, Liza starts to realize that she might have feelings for him. Meanwhile, Josh is back in New York dealing with his own romantic troubles when his ex-girlfriend appears unexpectedly.
As Liza contemplates her feelings for Anton, she is forced to confront her own insecurities about being a 40-year-old woman in a young person's world. She also starts to question whether she is truly happy in her relationship with Josh, or if she is just afraid of being alone.
Things come to a head when Liza and Anton share a heated moment at a party, but Liza ultimately decides to stay true to herself and her values. She returns to New York and reconciles with Josh, realizing that he is the one she truly wants to be with.
Throughout the episode, we see Liza grappling with issues of identity and age, as she tries to navigate the high-stakes world of publishing while keeping her true self intact. The episode ends on a hopeful note, as Liza and Josh reaffirm their love for each other and look forward to a new chapter in their relationship.
