In Yukon Men season 7 episode 9, titled "End of the Road," the residents of Tanana find that the harsh winter weather has taken a toll on their supplies. Many of them are facing shortages and struggling to survive. To make matters worse, the snow and ice have made it difficult to hunt and trap, leaving people desperate for food.

As the episode begins, we see several families coping with the scarcity of resources. Charlie Wright and his wife Bobbi Jo are running low on fuel, and they need to take desperate measures to keep warm. Meanwhile, Stan Zuray and his son Joe are trying to trap a wolverine that has been raiding their supplies.

The episode then shifts to Joey Zuray, who is on a solo hunt for caribou. Joey is a skilled hunter, but he faces many challenges in the wilderness. The frigid temperatures make it difficult for him to track his prey, and the deep snow makes it hard to move around. Nevertheless, Joey persists, determined to bring food back to his family and community.

Next, we see Pat Moore and his son return to Tanana after a three-day journey to collect firewood. They have been traveling by snowmachine (snowmobile) and are exhausted from the trip. Despite their fatigue, they must quickly unload the firewood and bring it inside to dry. If they don't, the wood may not burn properly and could potentially cause a dangerous chimney fire.

Later in the episode, we see Charlie and Bobbi Jo try to catch fish through the ice. They use a small auger to drill a hole in the frozen river, then drop a net into the water. However, they are not having much luck. The fish are not biting, and the couple grows frustrated and worried about their food supply.

In another part of town, we see Scott and his friend Nikos working on a snowmachine. They need it to be in top condition for a hunting trip, but the machine is giving them trouble. They take it apart and try to troubleshoot the problems, but they don't have many spare parts or tools.

As the episode draws to a close, we see several residents of Tanana coming together for a community potluck. They bring what little food they have and share it with their neighbors. The mood is somber, as people realize how difficult the winter has been and how much they rely on each other for survival.

Overall, "End of the Road" shows the harsh realities of life in rural Alaska. The cold, unforgiving climate makes it hard to find food and stay warm, and the limited resources often mean that people have to make do with very little. Despite the challenges, the residents of Tanana remain resilient and determined, relying on their skills and each other to get through the winter.
