The episode "The Blizzard" of Bering Sea Gold season 5 follows the various crews as they struggle to work through the harsh weather conditions that have descended on the region. As the blizzard rages on, the miners are faced with numerous challenges – from malfunctioning gear to treacherous terrain – that threaten to derail their entire season.
The Pomrenke crew seem to be the most affected by the storm. Shawn struggles to keep his dredge running amidst the icy conditions and is forced to make a difficult decision about whether or not to keep pushing on. On the other hand, his father Steve is determined to forge ahead, putting himself, his crew, and his dredge in grave danger.
Meanwhile, the Kellys are in the midst of a heated disagreement. Brad and Andy are at odds over how to proceed with their operation, and the tension between them threatens to boil over. Despite the turmoil, they continue to work towards their goal of reaching the "stacks" – a highly lucrative area of the sea floor.
Over on the Reaper, the crew is dealing with their own set of challenges. Captain Scott's decision to move the dredge to a different location proves to be a costly mistake, setting them back significantly. Compounding their difficulties, the crew must deal with the aftermath of a near-fatal accident on board.
As the storm rages on, each crew is pushed to their limit both physically and emotionally. Do they have what it takes to weather the storm and come out on top? The episode promises to be a thrilling and suspenseful ride, full of high-stakes drama and nail-biting twists.
