Bering Sea Gold: Under the Sea is a reality television show that runs new episodes on the Discovery Channel. The show has had a total cast of 12 people during both seasons, 6 who have left the show. Each episode of the show tracks and monitors the progress and earnings of the ships as they go out to try to collect gold from under the ocean. The show focuses on earnings, problems with weather and the ships, crew issues that may arise, and other intimate details of the going ons of life and profit with the ships. Close monitoring of the amount of gold that is brought in is key to the show, as the show revolves around the amount of gold found in ounces. Financial crises and personal loss are also covered on the show. The first season of the show watches the progress of the ships The Christine Rose, The Clark, The Sluicey, and The Wild Ranger and their crews. The second season watches the progress and earnings of The Clark, The Shamrock, and The Lazy Gator. The first season was aired in early 2012, and had 10 episodes that spanned from late January to the end of March. Season 2 also takes place in 2012, and began airing in late August. The show is still currently airing and episodes are still being shown on the Discovery Network.
