"Boys Over Flowers" is a South Korean television series, which eventually became an extremely huge hit making the cast instantly famous and recognized. The stars of the television series include Koo Hye-seon, Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joog, and Kim Jun. The characters that these stars play attend a high school that is strictly for rich children. It is while attending this school that a couple of the main characters form a gang called the F4.

Geum Jan-di played by Koo Hye-seon gets accepted into the rich kid high school by winning a scholarship. It is here that she begins to develop feelings for Yun Ji-hu played by Kim Hyun-joong who reciprocates those feelings. She is also subject to bullying by the F4 group but she eventually overcomes this with her radiant personality. It is because of this personality that the boy who bullied her all this time begins to develop feelings for her and professes these feelings in front of the entire school. She then finds herself torn between the two boys that care for her.

Gu Jun-pyo played by Lee Min-ho is a very spoiled and selfish character. This is the character that bullied Geum Jan-di and then eventually fell in love with her. Gi Jun-pyo is very used to getting whatever he wants handed to him except for the attention of his parents. At first, he cannot be accepting of Geum Jan-di because she is not rich but he finds himself attracted to her open-heart and kind, loving family.

Song Wu-bin played by Kim Jun is the protector of the gang, F4, because his family has many connections that can interrupt cash flow. Song Wu-bin ensures that his gang members are well protected when ever they run into a problem that involves their money.

"Boys Over Flowers" is intended to provide an entertaining and dramatic television series for it's viewers. The story line is easy to follow as well as the dramatic love circles that are formed between Geum Jan-di and the two boys from F4. Entertainment is also found in following the purpose of the gang F4 whom basically rule the high school they attend and cause many problems involving money schemes.
