In Burn Notice season 5 episode 17, titled "Acceptable Loss," Michael and Fiona help a woman named Amanda (played by Courtney Ford) escape from Costa Rica, where she is being held captive by a dangerous drug lord named Joaquin "El Brujo" Sandoval (played by Alfonso Arau).

Amanda has been working for a non-profit organization in Costa Rica and stumbled upon evidence of Sandoval's drug smuggling operation. When Sandoval learned of her discovery, he had her kidnapped and held for ransom.

As the team executes their plan to rescue Amanda, they encounter unexpected obstacles and danger at every turn. They must use all of their skills and resources to come out on top and bring justice to Sandoval and his associates.
