iCarly

iCarly, a hit television show for Nickelodeon, follows the lives of teenager Carly Shay, her guardian brother Spencer and her friends Sam, Freddy and Gibby. The series focuses on the Internet television show that Carly, Sam & Freddy produce together in the loft of their apartment building, featuring the antics and comedic talents of both stars, Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy. It also follows the love lives and romantic triangles of the main characters as well as that of bachelor Spencer. The Internet television show, also titled "iCarly", becomes a hit and the series follows the small group's rise to local fame.

iCarly, set in Seattle, WA features a cast of teens and relatively few adults, just what the audience enjoys. Carly's mother is never mentioned and the father is stationed on a submarine, leaving the care of Carly to her older brother. Spenser, played by Jerry Trainer, is really just an over-grown child himself, adding much of the physical humor and comedy to the show. The show is also a showcase for the chemistry between Carly and Sam, with wise-cracking Sam and sweet, innocent Carly.

The show has been nominated for numerous awards, winning the Kids Choice Awards several years in a row. However, it's gained a large amount of support among adults, also. While the stars of the show are certainly Carly, Sam & Freddie, the supporting cast, including Gibby, Nevel and T-Bo make the show well-rounded and funny to both adults and the tweens at which it's aimed.

iCarly, currently in its sixth season, will say goodbye in a series finale slated for November, 2012.
