Oh Sit! takes musical chairs and boosts it to new heights in this television show. Contestants start at the beginning of an obstacle course, which consists of water, climbing, and moving parts. When the music starts, contestants run around the obstacle course as quickly as they can. Each full circle around the obstacles earns that contestant extra money. When the music stops, everyone runs for the middle of the ring, and the chairs. The last two contestants to reach the middle, and the contestant to earn the least amount of money are booted out of the competition in the first round.

The obstacle course is physically demanding, and many contestants, regardless of how fit they are, have trouble navigating the obstacles, meaning they will probably be eliminated. This game requires strategy as well as endurance, because the player must choose the chair in the middle that holds enough money to keep him or her from being kicked out of the competition.

A live band adds original music to this new version of musical chairs. Each song is different, but the music is very good, and provides musical entertainment that many other game shows don't offer. Randomly, the music will stop, signalling contestants that it's time to start the surge to the middle, in the hopes of finding that chair that will save them until the next round.

The hosts, Jamie Kennedy, Tanika Ray and Jessi Cruikshank, provide additional entertainment as they talk about the contestants. This adds a level of competition to the show that draws the audience in, and gets people rooting for their favorite contestants. Each elimination is a disappointment for someone in the audience, but people continue to watch the show for other contestants that they can root for.

All in all, this television show is very entertaining, and is successful at drawing the audience into the action, providing original entertainment that other television shows don't have.
