The Bridge

The Bridge also known as Bron or Broen, is a Swedish and Danish television series that falls into the genre's of crime, drama, and thriller. This particular television series is mainly aired on both the DR1 and the SVT1 channels, and it has an approximate running time of about 60 minutes long, including the commercials. The bridge was created by Hans Rosenfeldt, and it was written by Bjorn Stein. This television show was composed by Johan Soderqvist, Patrik Andren, and Uno Helmersson, and it wad produced by Stefan Baron, Klaus Bassiner, Tomas Eskilsson, Wolfgang Feindt, and Tone Ronning. Furthermore, The Bridge star's many well known actor's and actresses such as Sofia Helin, Kim Bodnia, Dag Malmberg, Ellen Hillingso, and Puk Scharbau.

This thrilling television series is mainly focused on a police investigation of a dead body found on the Oresund bridge. This particular bridge is what connects Denmark to Sweden. The body of the victim was cut in half by the waist and then it was cleverly placed directly onto the borderline. The killer did this so that the crime would fall into both Denmark and Sweden's jurisdiction. Forcing them both to have to work together in order to solve the case. Ultimately, the two jurisdictions end up working together having Saga Noren running the Swedish side of the investigation, and having Martin Rhode serving the Danish side of the investigation.

Furthermore, things become even more twisted when they discover that the two halves of the victim is actually two different people. One half of the body belonged to a street woman who happened to be a prostitute, and the other half of the body belonged to a well known and respected female politician. To complicate things even more, a local journalist who's car was used in the crime, begins getting phone calls from a mystery person claiming to be the one who committed the horrible crime. The killer begins to tell the journalist why he committed the horrible crime and what exactly it is he is trying to draw attention to.
