Ep 13. Double Dare

Jackie is a tomboy who loves sports and challenges, and Adam is immediately smitten with her. He tries to impress her with his Double Dare knowledge, but she seems unimpressed. Adam is determined to win her over, and he convinces Jackie to join his team for the audition.

The day of the audition arrives, and the Goldberg family is a bundle of nerves. Murray is skeptical of the whole thing and thinks Adam and Dave Kim are wasting their time, but Beverly is her usual over-the-top self and is convinced that her son is destined for greatness. Erica and Barry are supportive of their brother, but mostly just want to see him get slimed.

At the audition, Adam and Dave Kim are up against some tough competition, including a group of high school jocks and a pair of nerdy twins. Jackie proves to be a valuable addition to the team, and her athleticism and fearlessness help them sail through the first round. But when they get to the final obstacle, a giant peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Adam's nerves get the best of him and he freezes up. It's up to Jackie to save the day, and she does so with aplomb, securing their spot as official "Double Dare" contestants.

The rest of the episode follows the Goldberg family as they prepare for their big TV debut. Adam is determined to impress Jackie and prove to her that he's more than just a Double Dare fanatic. He spends hours practicing his slime dodging and physical challenges, and even enlists Murray to help him build a giant hamster wheel for one of the obstacles.

On the day of the show, the Goldberg family is dressed in identical red and white jumpsuits, and they are ready to take on any challenge that comes their way. Adam's nervousness has turned into excitement, and he's ready to show Jackie what he's made of. The competition is intense, but the Goldbergs hold their own and make it all the way to the final round. But when it comes time to choose between taking the physical challenge or answering a trivia question, Adam freezes up again. It's up to Jackie to make the choice, and she chooses the trivia question, which they get right and win the grand prize: a trip to Space Camp.

The episode ends with the Goldbergs celebrating their victory and Adam finally getting a kiss from Jackie. It's a heartwarming and hilarious look at the power of determination and the importance of family. "Double Dare" may be just a silly game show, but it brought the Goldbergs together and showed them what they're capable of when they work together.
