I apologize, but there seems to be a misunderstanding. The movie Armageddon from 1997 does not star Andy Lau, Michelle Reis, or Anthony Chau-Sang Wong. The main cast includes well-known Hollywood actors such as Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, and Billy Bob Thornton. Armageddon is a science fiction disaster film directed by Michael Bay, known for his explosive action films. The story follows a group of oil rig workers who are sent by NASA to stop a massive asteroid from colliding with Earth and causing the complete destruction of humanity.

The film begins with a scene where a meteor shower devastates New York City, including the loss of hundreds of lives. It is then revealed that a giant asteroid named "Bennu" is on a collision course with Earth, and due to its size, it cannot be destroyed by traditional methods. The only solution is to blow it up before it enters Earth's atmosphere.

NASA officials then hire Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis), an oil driller, to lead a team of expert drillers to the asteroid and plant a nuclear warhead to blow it up. Harry's team includes his loyal right-hand man, A.J. (Ben Affleck), and several other rough and tough oil drillers. The team is then trained by NASA astronauts to become astronauts themselves and to complete the mission.

Once they reach the asteroid, they encounter several obstacles, including unpredictable terrain, unexpected dangers, and an onboard malfunction with one of their spaceships. They also have a limited amount of time to complete the mission before the asteroid collides with Earth.

Throughout the film, we also witness personal relationships and struggles among the characters, including the strained father-daughter relationship between Harry and his daughter Grace (Liv Tyler), who is also dating A.J.

The film is known for its intense action sequences, featuring special effects and explosions that are typical of Michael Bay's directing style. The film also features a memorable musical score by composer Trevor Rabin, including the hit single "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," performed by Aerosmith.

Overall, Armageddon is a thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride, with a talented cast delivering memorable performances. Despite some criticism from the scientific community for its inaccurate portrayal of space and NASA procedures, the film remains a fan favorite and a blockbuster hit.
