The Mask

The Mask was released in 1994 and stars Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. The film was directed by Chuck Russell and produced by New Line Cinema and Dark Horse Entertainment. Jim Carrey plays Stanley Ipkiss a down on his luck banker, who has a crush on one of his clients, Tina Carlyle (Diaz). One day while he is out, he sees what he believes is someone drowning in the water. Being a good guy, he jumps in to attempt to rescue them. To his surprise it isn't a person he's jumped into save but it's a mask. Dismayed but intrigued by his find, he takes the mask home with him. Little does he know the mask will have life altering consequences. By accident, Stanley finds out how the mask works and turns into a funny superhero with no inhibitions. He then works up the nerve to go to the club where Tina works as a singer and chaos ensues as Stanley tries to balance between himself and his alter ego The Mask.
