Besieged

Besieged is a drama from 1998. Mr. Kinsky is an odd musician who lives in a rustic Roman villa. His servant Shandurai is an African woman whose spouse is being held as a political prisoner back home. Kinsky falls for Shandurai, regularly gifting her things, usually ending in anger on her part. After his repeated attempts at woo are shot down, he asks what he can do to please her, Shandurai yells that he can free her husband. Kinsky, shocked at never knowing she was married, does his best to help Shandurai, due to his unwavering love for the woman.
