
Blind Side
Michael meets and is befriended by a boy at his new school named Sean R.Tuohy. The Tuohys are wealthy business owners. Leigh AnneTuohy sees Michael walking in the cold shivering; she finds out he is planning to sleep outside because he has no place to go. Leigh Anne invites him to sleep at their house, and before he leaves she invites him to spend Thanksgiving with them. This starts the relationship between Michael and the Touchy family, a relationship that will impact their lives.
Michael wants to play football, but needs to improve his grades. He is able to bring his grades up enough to play football; however, to qualify for a NCAA scholarship; he must have a 2.50 average. Some of the teachers help him, and Leigh Anne hires a tutor. Michael accomplishes a 2.52 average.
Leigh Anne wants to become Michael’s legal guardian, but they need to find his mother who is a drug addict, and she couldn't be located. They hired a lawyer, and Michael legally became part of the family.
Sean Jr sends out videos to coaches at a number of colleges. Because of Michaels’s skills on the field, he gets several offers for scholarship. The Tuohys and the tutor are all University of Missippi grads, so they encourage him to choose Ole Miss. Michael takes the offer for Ole Miss.
Despite the conflicts, The Blind Side shows that there are happy endings, and that love and dedication can change a person’s life.
