Frontera is a 2014 drama film about a man from Mexico who is attempting to illegally cross over to the United States through the border. While the man from Mexico is crossing the border, he runs into the wife of a sheriff in Arizona who goes by the name of Amy in the film. Amy is gunned down while she is on her horse and the blame is given to the man from Mexico, Michael. Michael swears he has nothing to do with the killing of Amy but the law enforcement officials do not believe him and thus charge him with the murder. However, the film takes a dramatic twist when the current town sheriffs, Ed and Aden, begin to search the farm where Amy was killed. It turns out the murder case is not as much of an open and shut case as it first was predicted to be. The two sheriffs than begin to find more clues, which eventually lead them to another possible murder suspect. While all of this is going, Michael is trying his best to prove his innocence with the help from his family in Mexico.
