Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe deliver in this action packed, highly emotional thriller. Alice, played by Meg Ryan, hires Russell Crowe's character, Thomas Clayton, who specializes in K&R (kidnap and rescue) to play negotiator with her husband Peter's (David Morse) kidnappers. Peter, an American engineer works in South America. His newest assignment has him building a new dam that will modernize this small nation by bringing power to it. The project is met with much controversy. Peter is kidnapped by a group of hostile gorillas. Despite a recently troubled marriage, his wife Alice works with Thomas to rescue Peter. Their journey to rescue Peter becomes complicated by Thomas's new feelings for Alice.
