The Fixer is about young Yakov Bok, a Jewish man who lives in the ghetto of Kiev. Life is hard; he is subject to persecution by Anti-Semites, and the Czarist troops that march through the city pose a constant threat. Accused of a murder that he didn't commit, Yakov is thrown into jail without benefit of trial. After years of suffering, depending upon his faith to help him endure a brutal life in captivity, his plight becomes a lynchpin for human rights and freedom of religion. Can one man's spirit endure, and what will it take to save him?
