In season 7, episode 3 of the hit family drama series 7th Heaven, entitled "The Enemy Within," the Camden family faces a challenging time in their lives as one of their own is accused of a serious crime.

As the episode opens, viewers see Matt (played by Barry Watson) getting ready for his job at a hospital, where he has recently started working. However, his job is far from the only thing on his mind. He is also nervously waiting to hear the outcome of a case he has been working on as a legal aid lawyer. This turns out to be a case where a man has been accused of assault and robbery against an elderly woman. The man in question happens to be a former neighbor of the Camdens, and Matt had grown up with him. He is unsure whether the man is guilty or not, but he has to present his case in court regardless.

Meanwhile, Lucy (played by Beverley Mitchell) is having a difficult time at school. She has been assigned to work on a project with a boy named Rod, whom she dislikes. Rod seems to have a negative attitude towards Lucy as well and doesn't want to work with her. Despite this, they are expected to work together, and Lucy has to find a way to make things work.

Eric (played by Stephen Collins) is also having a tough time. As a minister, he is expected to help his congregation through their problems, but he is struggling with his own issues. He has been feeling down lately, and it seems to be affecting his work. He is also worried about Annie (played by Catherine Hicks), who is undergoing medical tests to find out if she has cancer.

The episode takes a dramatic turn when it is revealed that the man Matt has been trying to help is guilty of the crime. This comes as a shock not only to Matt but to the entire Camden family. They had all believed that the man was innocent, and they are devastated by the news. However, the most affected is Matt, who is now questioning his own judgment and abilities as a lawyer.

As if that wasn't enough, the Camdens also have to deal with another unexpected situation. Someone has broken into their home and stolen some valuable items. The thief has left behind some evidence, which leads the police to suspect that the perpetrator is someone the family knows. Eric and Annie are worried that one of their children might be involved in the crime, and they try to find out who it could be.

The episode revolves around the themes of trust, loyalty, and forgiveness. The Camden family members have to learn to trust each other even in difficult situations. Matt has to learn to forgive himself for his mistake, and the family has to forgive the person who robbed them.

Overall, season 7, episode 3 of 7th Heaven is a compelling and emotional episode that delves into the complexities of human relationships and the challenges of dealing with the unexpected. It showcases the resilience of the Camden family and their ability to come together in times of crisis. Fans of the show will not be disappointed by this exciting and thought-provoking episode.
