The series looks at how they had to rely on teamwork, and how even small mistakes could result in their entire unit being wiped out. The series involves a number of interviews with persons who fought in combat, and they reflect on the importance of having friends while serving. The first episodes in Against the Odds principally look at World War 2, and the series is narrated by Rob Lowe.
