In the Alaskan Bush People season 10 episode 6, titled "The Big Push," the Brown family's struggle to establish their home in the wild continues. After the previous episode's thwarted attempt to move the 38-foot barge into their river port location, the Brown family persists in their mission. But as they brace themselves for what they expect to be the "big push," they face more challenges that threaten their progress.

As the episode opens, the Brown family is seen clearing the site where they plan to place their generator shed. With the help of their cousin's excavator, they dig up the soil and level the area. However, the work is interrupted when Bear, one of the Brown boys, complains about a sharp pain in his lower abdomen. Suffering from what he assumes is an appendix episode, there's now a question while the rest of his family needs to decide how to proceed.

Meanwhile, as Gabe, another of the Brown boys, inspects the barge, he discovers that it has been taking some damage while getting snagged by logs and tree trunks. The barge mover they've hired suggests that they remove an overhanging tree that obstructs their path. Without it, the barge's debris-catching potential would be lessened.

Joshua, one of the Brown's neighbors, arrives to lend a hand in clearing the tree. As they work, he updates the Browns on recent bear sightings in the area. This reminds the Browns of the need to keep their food supplies safe. In the next scene, the Brown family constructs a bear-proof pantry that they can store their food supplies in.

The episode then returns to Bear's appendix issue, which worsens over time. While Ami, Bear's mother, worries about her son's condition, the rest of the Browns discuss the possibility of getting him to an emergency room. However, as they are days away from any medical facilities far in the Alaskan wilderness, the situation is critical. They decide to set up a makeshift clinic to monitor Bear's symptoms. Noah, the Brown family's certified EMT, takes charge of the medical care, and the family discusses Bear's options for eventual transport.

Later, the barge finally begins its journey upriver, towed by a new, bigger tugboat. However, as they proceed, they are stopped by another obstacle, and the barge gets stuck on a sandbar. As they attempt to push it off the sandbar, the mighty tugboat blows an engine, leaving them stranded. The twist of the plot leads to a cliff-hanger moment as the episode ends.

In summary, The Big Push is a rather intense episode in Alaskan Bush People, packed with several twists and turns. We see the Brown family facing yet more challenges in their quest to settle in the wilderness, including Bear's health scare, the bear threat, and the tricky river journey. There are plenty of tense moments in the episode that keeps viewers engaged and on edge.
