Captain Kidd's Pirate Code is the sixth episode of the third season of America Unearthed. In this episode, host Scott Wolter investigates the notorious pirate Captain Kidd and his legendary treasure. Kidd was a Scottish sailor who turned to piracy in the late 17th century and became one of the most feared pirates in history.

Scott begins his investigation by studying the so-called "Pirate Code" that Kidd and his crew allegedly followed. The code was a set of rules and regulations that all pirates on board the ship had to obey, and it was believed to have been written by Kidd himself. Scott visits a museum in Maine where he examines one of the only remaining copies of the code, which was discovered in 1911. The code includes rules such as "every man to be called fairly in turn," "no striking one another on board," and "no gambling on deck." Scott believes that this code could hold clues to the location of Kidd's long lost treasure.

Next, Scott travels to New York City to investigate Kidd's trial and execution. Kidd was captured in 1699 and brought back to England to stand trial for piracy. He was found guilty and sentenced to death, but before he was executed, Kidd declared that he had buried his treasure somewhere on the island of Madagascar. Scott interviews experts who believe that Kidd may have been telling the truth about the location of his treasure and that it could still be buried there today.

To explore this theory further, Scott travels to Madagascar. He meets with local experts who have been searching for Kidd's treasure for years, and he visits several sites where treasure hunters have claimed to have found clues or artifacts related to Kidd. Scott also examines the island's rugged terrain and intricate network of underground tunnels, which could have been used by Kidd to hide his treasure.

Throughout the episode, Scott interviews experts and historians to gain a deeper understanding of Kidd's life and career as a pirate. He examines maps and other historical documents to try to piece together the clues that could lead him to the treasure. And he searches for evidence that might prove or disprove various theories about the location of the treasure.

At the end of the episode, Scott presents his findings and reveals whether or not he was able to solve the mystery of Captain Kidd's treasure. Whether or not he was successful, viewers will be left with a greater appreciation of the history and mythology surrounding one of the most infamous pirates in history.
