Ep 7. My Morning Straightjacket

Father's Day comes around and Stan is determined to have the perfect day. He starts off with his morning routine, which includes his exercise regime, reading the news, and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. However, his routine is interrupted when he sees his neighbors getting their newspaper, and he realizes that he does not have a good relationship with them. In order to befriend them, he begins to take an interest in their lives and tries to make small talk.

Meanwhile, Hayley is excited to see that her favorite band, My Morning Jacket, is performing at a local music festival. However, she is disappointed to find out that the festival is sold out. She decides to sneak into the festival with Jeff, who is dressed in a straightjacket as part of his attempt to overcome his fear of physical restraints.

Back at home, Roger is excited to find out that Stan has a date with a woman named Tabitha. However, he soon realizes that she is very similar to himself and begins to feel threatened by her presence.

As the day goes on, Stan's attempts to make friends with his neighbors become more and more desperate, culminating in him lying about a shared love for figure skating. Meanwhile, Hayley and Jeff's attempt to see My Morning Jacket is complicated by Jeff's straightjacket, which makes it difficult for him to navigate through the crowds.

Eventually, Stan realizes that his quest for a perfect day has caused him to neglect his family, and he rushes to the music festival to make it up to them. However, he arrives just as My Morning Jacket is wrapping up their set, and Hayley is disappointed once again. Nevertheless, they all come together to enjoy the festival and each other's company.

In the end, Stan learns that perfection is not attainable, and that the most important thing is spending time with the people you love.
